Egypt Desert Adventures
Giza, eastern gate way to the great sand sea that stretches west across northern Africa. An inhospitable place with exotic names for the eco tourist to the extreme camper. Travel south west to Al Bawiti, the Qattara Depression to the north as you travel the white desert along the black valley. Hit the oasis at Farafra and head south toward the ominous Gilf Kebir and the infamous three corners, Jebal Uweinat, then make the long trek northwards through the sand sea to the wells of Siwah, where the life giving cool waters await your parched lips.
Design your own trip. Your choice of destinations, from the Siwah Oasis south to the Jebel Uweinat and anywhere in between there and the Nile river valley. Include a side trip into the mountains of the Sinai and eastern coast of Egypt. Your wish is our command.
Trips generally arranged on a Sit-In basis (we supply the vehicle and you enjoy the scenery), how ever with a great enough demand, Self-Drive units may be made available (subject to the extent of your desert craft abilities and licence). Longer and more difficult trips may not be attempted with inexperienced drivers. |
