From west of Mt. There we will board the venerable felucca, the oldest form or sailing vessel on the planet, these long wide flat bottomed boats are perfect for travel on the nile, engineless, they use the northly winds from the Mediterranean to push the boats in a southerly direction and the northerly flowing current to float down river northwards. We will drift along the easterly shores and then tack over to view an up close look at the fabulous mansions that line the west banks of the river and then we will travel upstream to look at some of the more rustic aspects of life on the Nile, this is an unrivaled experience and a unique view of Egypt. We will enjoy a small light meal and drinks and then watch the sun drop below the horizon. (sunset tour approx 2-3 hours)
